About Us
Our History
Forest Area Federal Credit Union was organized on September
19, 1983. The original office of the credit union was located at
Larr's Sporting Goods in Fife Lake, MI. In January 1985, the office
was moved to the original bank building in Fife Lake next to
Kimball's Market. In December 1993, the office was once again moved
to a new location at 638 Boyd St., Fife Lake. We opened our first
branch office in Kalkaska, Michigan in 1987. Our Kingsley Office was
opened in 1997 (then moved to the East end of town in 2006) and our
Manton branch was opened in 2001.
